Like Orange Juice, shaggier though, and more likely to read the Ecologues than NME, Cleaners From Venus had that same knack for brightly lit songs, as with "Victoria Grey". Martin Newell is the main man behind CFV, and has a voice that's fitting for this time of year--he sings in a way that brings to mind cold mornings, wan light through the clouds, dry leaves, moonlit walks, hands in pockets.
