The Dodos are about to release a new album, called "Carrier," on Tuesday. It is remarkable. In ways that are difficult to articulate. But that might be besides the point. I had no idea, for instance, that Chris Reimer, formerly of Women, who passed away in 2012, was a touring member of the Dodos for a short while. And that he had inspired Meric Long, singer and guitarist for the Dodos, to think about putting a stop to the band in order to work on new projects.
