What We're Always About Sometimes (minimalist novel title)

Moritz Von Oswald Trio - Pattern 1The MVO Trio is Moritz Von Oswald, Max Loderbauer, and Sasu Ripatti (of Luomo, Uusitalo, and Vladislav Delay fame), who have all come together to form this totally weird and engaging electro-acoustic supergroup. Make no mistake: these are jams, but more in the vein of "A Tribute to Jack Johnson," and less like something you'd hear on "Dave Matthews Band Live at Gettysburg" (obviously). You will fucking love this if, when you listened to Farben's "Textstar," you dreamt about what the track "Live at the Sahara Tahoe, 1973" would sound like if the title were 100% accurate. MVO Trio's music is something like the analog analogue to Ricardo Villalobos's laptop supergroup, Narod Niki (that video is insane), and the trio is about to release its second studio album, Horizontal Structures, in the next couple weeks.[Buy Vertical Ascent]
